State-run aerospace major Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has dismissed reports of a “crash” involving the indigenous Tejas fighter jet, clarifying that the episode was a “minor incident on the ground” and not an airborne accident. In a statement, HAL said the aircraft did not suffer a crash and described the reporting as misleading. The company emphasised that the situation was promptly addressed as per standard operating procedures and that there was no major damage or safety breach.Defending the safety record of the
